‘ To me Perspectives is about community. Since I was very young, my robust sense of self has always been an area of both dignity and refuge. The more I engage with different people and cultures, the more I realise that friendship and connection in and across dance - or any art or anything - only serves to bolster this. I could wax lyrical about the endless FaceTime revelations and post rehearsal reflective chats and how they have helped me understand and overcome my challenges, because at the crux of that lies what is special and important to me. It’s not always about having something to say, but knowing that there’s somebody who will listen and trusting that relationship to be as tenacious as it is interchangeable; through Perspectives I found my people, through my people I find my voice.’
